The
Sixth Regional Fellowship of KNH Ex Foster Friends for Dornakal Diocesan
Projects /other KNH Ex Foster Friends who are settled in Khammam Region was
organized at St. Mary’s Church on Saturday 12th 2014 from 10:30 a.m to 5:00 p.m. More than
250 KNH Ex foster friends some with their families have gathered from Kothad, Warangal, Khammam
Districts.

At
the initiative of CCCYC, Bangalore and under the guidance of the
Rt.Rev.Dr.Vadapalli Prasada Rao, Bishop in Dornakal Diocese, Mr.Prabhakar Rao,
Mrs.Gnanasundari, Mrs.Geetha, Mr.Banerji and Mr.Srinivasa Rao Incharge CCWs
have made the required arrangements with the active participation of all the
Child Care Workers in Dornakal Diocese for the successful conduct of the KNH Ex Foster Friends Meet at Khammam.
After the Registration, the KNH Ex Foster friends were led into
micro lab exercise briefly which enabled them to recollect their rich memories
of their life in the Residential Care /Day Care/Special Care Projects.
All the participants gratefully praised and worshiped the
Almighty God and for the manifold blessings showered on them. KNH Ex Foster Friends from St.Mary’s Girls Hostel, Khammam and CSI Day Care
Centre, Nadigudem led praise and worship
session.
The Fellowship of KNH Ex Foster Friends was blessed by His
Grace Bishop in Dornakal the Rt.Rev.Dr.Vadapalli Prassada Rao, The Diocesan Secretary, Diocesan Women Secretary,
Pastorate Chairman and Secretary of St.Mary’s Church, Khammam, Hostel Board
Convener and other Leaders from the
Dornakal Diocese. It was commenced with the traditional Lighting the Lamp. The
Chief Guest and other guests were felicitated by Mr.G.Prabhakar along with the
KNH Ex foster Friends and CCWs.
The Bishop inaugurated
the KNH Ex Foster Friends Meet with the Word of God and appreciated the KNH Ex
Foster Friends for their enthusiastic participation . In his inaugural address,
he stated that God continued to use German Sponsors through KNH/CCCYC to support
the most vulnerable children in India and it would be your turn to render
support to those vulnerable children through Diocesan Hostels especially when
KNH has stopped substituting deserving children since one year in the Hostels
Programme. He also challenged the KNH Ex Foster Friends to support deserving
children through Hostels by giving one month’s salary. He praised God for the
services rendered by KNH all over the country for about five and half decades
.
After
briefing the objectives of Fellowship of KNH Ex Foster Friends, the KNH Ex
Foster Friends briefly shared their profiles and the same was captured in the
Video. Mr.S.Charles SoundaraRaj Special Officer for Ex Foster Friends from
CCCYC praised God and acknowledged that it is God’s sheer grace that both KNH and CCCYC are being used as His
Instruments in the Dioceses and Churches to nurture and foster development of
the most vulnerable children through KNH/CCCYC supported Hostels /Day Care
Projects /Special Projects and preventing them to become the victims of child
labour/child marriage/child abuse/school drop outs.
Besides sharing the greetings from Rev.Solomon
Benjamin Chief Executive of CCCYC, he acknowledged as to how God had turned
those vulnerable children to be confident, potential and self reliant members
of their families and communities and be a blessing as per the promise of God i.e “I will make
your name great and you will be a blessing “ Gen 12: 2b referred in his letter
addressed to KNH Ex foster Friends.
Mr.G. Prabhakar shared the greetings of
Mr.Lueder Luers from Germany, Director of KNH Council for Child Care in South
India in Deenabhandupuram and the first Director of CSI Council for Child Care
Bangalore, in Telugu version.
Pastor. Gunasekar an Ex Foster Friend and
Director of Calvary Chapel Trust
inspired his Fellow KNH Ex Foster Friends sharing his Life Story as to
how God transformed him to be a blessing
to about 3000 vulnerable children. His message was based on Ecclesiastes 11: 1
While briefing ministry of CCCYC/KNH in
India and around the globe, Mr.Kiran Kumar Project Officer explained about the
Community based initiatives since
millions of vulnerable children are in need around us.
Ex foster friends thanked and appreciated
KNH/CCCYC for its various services among the most vulnerable children and
community.
The
Church was filled with more than 250
enthusiastic KNH Ex Foster Friend KNH Ex Foster friends who have participated
in the fellowship joyfully . They were excited to meet their former friends and
shared their rich memories of their past among themselves. The Fellowship could
witness bursting laughter, emotions because the impact of their hostel
life was so great. They enjoyed
fellowship lunch very much.
The
participants who participated in the fellowship were Contract labor, Auto
Drivers, Computer Operators, Accountants,Pastors, Evangelists, Teachers, Head
Masters, Lecturers, Doctors, Pharmacist, Chemist, Artists, , Photographers/
Police/Road Transport Corporation depts. , Asst.grade, Social Service,
Engineers, Fashion Designers, Bank
Employees, Tradesmen, Entrepreneurs etc.
While
witnessing emotionally, many narrated how vulnerable they were and how KNH
sponsorship enabled him to be a blessing to their own siblings/families and
communities. His Grace Bishop in Dornakal challenged the audience to come forward to become Indian
sponsors.
While
many of the KNH Ex Foster Friends expressed their willingness to join the
ministry of CCCYC/KNH after consulting with their spouses, Forty of them came forward to sponsor instantly.
Mr.Lazar
a KNH Ex Foster Friend from PVM Boarding Home [20253] Kallur have committed to
contribute one month salary i.e Rs.30000/ per
year to the support of the needy.
Dr.Victor
a KNH Ex Foster Friend from DDJC Boys Hostel[20251 Dornakal sponsored a Sports
Kit and Education Kit amounting Rs.2500/instantly and proposed to raise 25
Sponsors among his former KNH Friends to run a Home at Yellandu.
Dr.
Malathy Pushpalatha a knh ExFoster Friend from St.Mary’s Girls Hostel
[20255]Khammam instantly paid Rs.1000/ and committed to sponsor a child
P.
Sujatha a KNH Ex foster friend from
St.Mary’s Girls Home[20255] witnessed that she accepted Jesus as Saviour and
became a full time Gospel worker through
the Hostel and reached about 300 poor people to accept Jesus Christ as their
Saviour. She promised to support a
child.
Dr.Sheela
a KNH Ex Foster Friend from St.Mary’s Girls Hostel[20255], Khammam
remarked that it was because of KNH support ,I have been what I am today as Medical Doctor .
Joseph
a Ex Foster Friend from PVM Boarding
Home[20253], Dornakal testified that the Vocational Guidance Programme in the
Hostel nurtured his self confidence to run a Junior College in Khammam City and
it is God’s plan that CCCYC/KNH would continue to promote sustainable growth
among the vulnerable.
Then
the profiles of few sponsors in Germany were highlighted through Banners and
how they came forward to give sponsorship support with all limitations .
The
on going activities of various Projects thru Photographs and Banners have been
displayed
The
KNH Ex Foster friends were motivated to prepare the life stories to be passed
to their respective sponsors who invested their time, talent, money and love.
Besides,
Video Clippings of KNH Ex Foster Friends
were also done during the programme.
They
agreed to gather as Region /Diocesan wise once
a year and cluster wise once in three/six months.
The

circulated to all by CCCYC for Net
working purpose.
Mrs Geetha proposed vote of thanks to the Bishop
and all the Diocesan Officials for investing time the whole day blessing the
Fellowship Meet.
The fellowship meet was concluded with a closing prayer led by Mr.Suresh an Evangelist and a KNH Ex Foster Friend from
CSI Day Care Centre,
Nadigudem[20261] and with benediction by His Grace Bishop in Dornakal
Diocese.
