11^th KNH/CCCYC Ex-Foster Friends Fellowship

The Eleventh Regional Fellowship of KNH Ex Foster Friends for Coimbatore Diocesan Projects /other KNH Ex Foster Friends who are settled in Coimbatore Region was organized at CSI Higher Secondary School Auditorium, CSI Compound, Coimbatore  on Saturday 13^th September 2014 from 10:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. More than 120 KNH Ex foster friends and some with their families  have gathered from Salem, Erode, Cimbatore and Nilgris  Districts.

At the initiative of CCCYC, Bangalore, Mr.Chandrakumar, Project Coordinator, Coimbatore  Diocese under the guidance of the Bishop of Coimbatore Diocese and with the active participation of all the Child Care Workers of this Diocese has organized the KNH Ex Foster Friends Meet at Coimbatore in a grand manner. Mr.K.Devaraj Samuel, Manager and Mr.Daniel Muthukumar Child Care Worker CSI Boys Hostel,Coimbatore have made the required arrangement for the successful conduct of the Meet.

 Mr.Sekar and his Team from the existing Association of Former Foster Children Coimbatore took active part in organizing the Meet. It currently supports three Sponsor Children and promised to increase the sponsorship to ten in the coming year. Besides, he compered  the Meet on this occasion.

 Following the Registration , all the KNH –Ex Foster Friends were led in to micro lab exercise recalling their rich memories of their Hostel lives.

All the participants gratefully praised and worshiped the Almighty God  for the manifold blessings which transformed them to be what they are today. Rev. Ebinenezer Mani, Presbyter CSI Christ Church Coimbatore offered opening prayer and led the Praise and Worship session presented by  Church Choir  and our sponsored children . He praised and thanked God for the services of KNH/CCCYC, CSI Coimbatore Diocese, Child Care Workers and Support Staff etc. and for the love of the Sponsors.

The Fellowship of KNH Ex Foster Friends was blessed by Rev.Solomon P Benjamin, Chief Executive, CCCYC,  Rev.K.C Richard Durai, Vice President in Coimbatore Diocese, Rev.Ebinezer Mani, Presbyter of CSI Christ Church ,Coimbatore, Mr.Chandrakumar, Project Coordinator, Mr.K.Devaraj Samuel Manager, Mr.Sekaran, Secretary of Association for the Former Fosterchildren,Coimbatore unit and Officers from CCCYC.

 The Chief Guest and other dignitaries were welcome by Mr.Chandrakumar, Project Coordinator and Child Care Workers .

Briefing the four fold objectives of the KNH Ex Foster Friends Fellowship,

Mr.Charles Soundara Raj led the KNH Ex Foster Friends to present their profiles

in brief  and it was a great witnessing session. Besides acknowledging the love of

the Sponsors/ knh /cccyc, they recognized the service and dedication of their

Past and Present  CCWs. He also challenged them to make their vision, vision of God/KNH a reality since millions of vulnerable children are in need around us. Ex foster friends thanked and appreciated KNH/CCCYC for its various services among the most vulnerable children and community.

                                                        

Reading one of the displays as ‘Life is an echo,what you send would come back to you Rev.K.C Richard Durai Vice President  of this Diocese mentioned that that was Meet of Echoes. On account of Jesus Christ’s exhortations ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself and What so ever you do to the least of these children that you have done unto me’  KNH emerged as an Echoing organization caring and facilitating vulnerable children to grow as responsible persons attaining Self reliance and it was KNH Ex Foster Friends turn to continue echoing  the same love of Jesus among the most vulnerable children.

Witnessing the enthusiastic  gatherings of KNH Ex foster friends , Rev.Solomon P Benjamin, Chief Executive from CCCYC acknowledged that it is God’s sheer grace that has enabled many thousands of vulnerable children to attain success and development through KNH/CCCYC supported Hostels. Since Jesus loved, HE called you, nurtured  you, equipped you with skill and qualifications and lifted you to become blessing to you, you children and children ‘s children’ through the Sponsors who did not see your faces, Child Care Workers who nurtured  your growth ‘. Besides, he highlighted the status of three women Sponsors who are 55 years, 72 years and 93 years and work as Assistant in a Heating section of a Famous Car company, self employed Baker and persuading neighbors to support and impressed that a majority of KNH Sponsors are ordinary people. KNH is pleased to know that their sponsored children are blessed and self reliant.

Emphasizing the great need to develop the vulnerable Girl children, Children of  Tribals, Dalits, Illiterates and first generation literate families, he encouraged the KNH Ex Foster Friends  to join CCCYC family to uplift them through Coimbatore Diocese. He also appreciated the members of Association Former Foster children in Coimbatore for promising to increase the Sponsorships to 20

The School Auditorium was filled with more than 120 enthusiastic KNH Ex foster friends who have participated in the fellowship joyfully . They were excited to meet their former friends and shared their rich memories of their past among themselves. The Fellowship could witness bursting laughter, emotions because the impact of their hostel life  was so great. They enjoyed fellowship lunch very much. 

The participants who participated in the fellowship were Pastors, Evangelists, Teachers, Head Masters, Lecturers, Nurses, Railways, Marketing/Civil Contractors, ,Executives in  Social Service Organisation, Engineers, Fashion Designers,  Bank Employees, Tradesmen, Entrepreneurs .

.

While witnessing emotionally, many narrated how vulnerable they were and how KNH sponsorship enabled them to be a blessing to their own siblings/families and communities.

Mr.Vanaraj, a KNH Ex foster Friend and Social Worker initiated and formed three Core Groups  on the basis of geographical areas which are as follows.

It was decided that  District Level Meets may be organized twice in a year and Diocesan Level Meet may be organized once a year.

The Ex foster friends were motivated to prepare the life stories to be passed to their respective sponsors who invested their time, talent, money and love.

Mr.K.Devaraj Samuel thanked all the dignitaries, Knh ExFoster Friends, Managers  and Child Care workers for cooperation and the support extended for the successful event.
