Training Programme on Employable Life Skills for Unemployed youths from CFCD Projects (16th to 31 January 2014)


Human resources is one of noteworthy assets of our country. The Government with the help of skill training institutes and developmental agencies is promoting initiatives to identify and train unemployed youth to make them self-reliant and employable. In this regard, CCCYC in partnership with Saint Marks Cathedral has identified skill development and training programme promoted by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Government of India. The programme is implemented through skill development partners Laqaash and Merit Matters. The programme was conducted from 15th to 20th January 2014 in CCCYC premises. 

About 40 youth from 17 CFCD projects attended the programme. During the programme, opportunities for placement were facilitated by the training agencies. 13 Young people got offer letter from reputed companies as business process executives. The participants said that the programme gave them the opportunity to have renewed outlook about opportunities and life.
